In Paradisum in Saint-Sauveur
The idea of an arts festival in the Laurentians was born in the summer of 1992 when a group of Montreal dance-lovers and businessmen launched the Festival des Arts Hiawatha. The inaugural festival lasted three weeks and featured 22 performances. Officially renamed the Festival des Arts de Saint-Sauveur in the summer of 1997, the inaugural season featured 50 events with the participation of 175 artists.
